Hunt Hill Farm and The Silo Chosen to Represent Connecticut in Exclusive Summit

Hunt Hill Farm and The Silo have always been more than just a destination; they are the heartbeat of Connecticut's scenic and cultural tapestry. Today, we’re overjoyed to announce that the State of Connecticut has selected our historic property to represent the state as a prime destination for exclusive and exquisite experiences at an upcoming summit. It’s a moment of immense pride, deep gratitude, and endless possibilities.

“For years, we’ve worked tirelessly to honor the history, preserve the beauty, and share the stories that make Hunt Hill Farm extraordinary,” said Alessandro Piovezahn, President of Hunt Hill Farm. “Being recognized at this summit is not just an honor for us, but for every soul who has walked through our doors, known our stories, and left inspired.”

A Legacy Rooted in Excellence

Hunt Hill Farm isn’t just a place to visit; it’s a place to feel. Nestled in the rolling beauty of New Milford and connected to the iconic Berkshires, the property is a national historic landmark that boasts ten historic buildings listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It’s also home to Connecticut’s first recreational cooking school, the very first Smithsonian Museum of American Music History and Americana, and The Silo gallery, where community and creativity converge.

And if that isn’t enough? Within our walls sits the world’s most famous Steinway piano, a hidden gem that has inspired countless melodies. The pride we feel is matched only by the responsibility we carry to share these treasures with all who seek beauty, culture, and connection.

Our accreditation by the United Nations further cements Hunt Hill Farm as an international beacon, ready to welcome travelers from around the globe. Beyond the farm, visitors can explore an interconnected network of trails, a wine corridor that tempts the palate, and parks and preserves that remind us why this pocket of the world will always feel like home.

Celebrating October 2nd and Our Ongoing Revival

We also take this moment to remember and honor October 2nd, officially recognized by the State of Connecticut since 2003 as Silo and Hunt Hill Farm Day. This special day was born out of recognition of our farm’s contributions to New Milford and the state of Connecticut—in education, culture, the arts, the environment, and the local economy. It is with this legacy in mind that we continue into an exciting new phase of revival, one that reimagines how we can connect with travelers, right here on this cherished land.

“We are more than just a farm or a gallery. We’re an experience. A living, breathing story that brings people together and stays with them forever,” added Piovezahn. “This summit is an opportunity for us to show the world what we’ve known all along—to visit Hunt Hill Farm is to leave transformed.”

Immense Gratitude

None of this would be possible without the incredible support and collaboration from our community and devoted partners. We extend heartfelt thanks to Susan Henrique from CTVisit, Kerrie Tripp, Director of Products & Sales at Discover New England, and Terry Macary, Tourism Administrative Director, Leadership Greater Waterbury Program Director, and Board Liaison. Your unwavering commitment to spotlighting our beloved property has helped us reach this milestone and dream even bigger.
