Our History
In July of 2022 the Silo (aka Hunt Hill Farm) became an accredited NGO with special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. For five decades, The Silo has stood as an enduring legacy of Ruth & Skitch Henderson's passion for food, fine art, music, Mother nature and conservation. It has provided tens of thousands of children and adults with a safe space to explore their artistic and musical interests in the Litchfield Hills region. The passionate commitment of its board of directors and volunteers ensures that this incredible learning resource continues to bring joy, knowledge and opportunities to people from all walks of life specially our youth. Today, The Silo is better than ever - a creative beacon infused with energy, appreciation, inclusion and love. Its continued presence serves as a reminder that when we come together to share our ideas through exploring the arts and solidarity, remarkable things can happen.
